Our Church Mission Projects

Our Church Missions

The Grangeville Christian Church supports several mission organizations in Idaho, the United States and internationally. Resources to support these missions are provided by individual gifts as people are led by God and 18% of our tithes and offerings. The Grangeville Christian Church Mission Committee meets regularly to manage our support to these organizations, representing the Grangeville Christian Church congregation and providing recommendations to the elders. Presently the committee is chaired by Cindy Hall with members Larry Case, Linda Bear, Debbie Schlieper, Loise Ellenberg, Shirley Sherwin, Ken and Harriet Stump.

Following is a short summary of the missions we presently support:

Doug and Carol Reed

Literature and Teaching Ministries was established in August of 1992 for the purpose of putting Christian books into the hands of church leaders all over the world in their own languages. We do "whatever it takes" to guide these books through the publishing process - - from translating to proofreading to formatting to printing. However, Literary and Teaching Ministries's main job is to help provide the funding for these book projects by partnering with United States churches and individuals.

There is such an abundance of books in English that we here in the United States forget or don't even realize that in most countries books are a rarity. If a church leader has even a handful of books in his own language, he is fortunate. Most church leaders would love to get their hands on good books in their native tongue, but in most cases they simple do not exist!

Palouse Real Life Ministries
Moscow, Idaho

In 1998, Jim Putnam and Aaron Couch moved to Post Falls, Idaho, from Portland, Oregon, to plant a church. They had no idea that within eight short years Real Life Ministries would grow to become the 34th most influential church in the United States. In this short time the church has grown from four people to over 7,000. And all this has happened because of God blessing Real Life Ministries's commitment to relational environments.

In 2006, Aaron Couch, Charlie Couch, Michael Reyes, and Sam Wagner are following the Lord's leading to plant a church in Moscow. This journey has been an amazing one, but God, as always, has been so faithful.

3:16 • The Numbers of Hope • The message of 3:16
A twenty-six-word parade of hope: beginning with God, ending with life, and urging us to do the same.
Brief enough to write on a napkin or memorize in a moment,
yet solid enough to weather two thousand years of storms and questions.
"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son,
that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." John 3:16
