MISSIONS NOTE:
The Mission's Committee gets 18% of the general fund budget.
That is divided up by percentage to the missions that are supported.
#730, the Korean orphan, gets $600, not a percentage. This comes from birthday, anniversary, and special offerings.
#991 - The rental house will be paid for in November 2011.

Pastor's Annual Report - June 2011
As we reach the conclusion of another year of ministry, now year #13, I feel compelled to once again express our gratitude for the continued opportunity to share in life and ministry with you. We are grateful to be serving with Grangeville Christian Church, and anticipate another year of shared ministry blessings with you.
The "All the Usual Suspects" Department
My job description this year included (among other things):
- Seven visits to the wedding altar
- Eighteen funerals, two of which were of particular complexity
- My ongoing role as lead chaplain at Syringa General Hospital/Syringa Hospice
I continue to serve on the boards for:
- British International Evangelism (Missionary Delroy Brown's oversight board).
- Boise Bible College
- Which this year included preparing and providing new board member orientation
- And a major workshop presentation for the Spring Preaching Conference
- I also continue as the Board Chair of Mountain View School District #244.
My present term has two years remaining to serve.
In Addition to Which...I have been known to preach and teach on some occasion, host a Home Bible Fellowship Group, and such other duties as might reasonably (and sometimes quite unreasonably) come my way! I generally find something to do almost all of the time.
THE ROAD AHEAD
While we can never really know what tomorrow holds, and admittedly, life can be pretty perplexing at times, I do not think the sign (lost, confused, unsure, unclear, perplexed, disoriented, bewildered) describes our present circumstance at all!!! We have been richly and deeply blessed by our Lord, to Whom all praise and thanks is due. And as the recipients of the gifts of the prior faithfulness of the men and women of our Congregation, I am pleased to report that we are well-positioned to meet the ministry challenges and opportunities of tomorrow.
That does not mean, however, that ministry will necessarily be all easy-breezy from here on. The great enemy of our souls will continue to do his worst to keep us from our best. And, in the America of today, we must earn the right to be heard by our friends and neighbors. As a result, ministry impact will always include a healthy dose of just plain hard work! Having said that, I believe our Congregation can look ahead to the future with optimism and assurance. After all, we belong to the Lord who created the universe by the power of His voice, and who has every intention of using us to accomplish His eternal purpose in this place. With faith in Him, assured of His plans and purpose for us, we can look to the road ahead believing that He has only just begun to bring His glory through us.
Harold
"For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do." Ephesians 2:10 (NIV)
3:16 • The Numbers of Hope • The message of 3:16
A twenty-six-word parade of hope: beginning with God, ending with life, and urging us to do the same.
Brief enough to write on a napkin or memorize in a moment,
yet solid enough to weather two thousand years of storms and questions.
"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son,
that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." John 3:16
