It does not save by the water itself, but it marks a believer’s public identification with Jesus and His church, sealing God’s promise to all who trust Christ. Additionally, it is a clear sign of obedience to a command from Jesus Christ and was a normal practice within the early Christian church.Obedience to God is not always easy and that is why He gives us the Holy Spirit to empower us in our walk. But some things are very easy…like inviting someone to come with you to GCC!
