My name is Bill Donaldson and I’m humbled to serve as an elder at Grangeville Christian Church (GCC) here in Grangeville, Idaho. I moved a lot as a kid, settled in McCall at four, and came to Grangeville at ten. I graduated from Grangeville High School in 1984. After graduation I joined the U.S. Marine Corps, serving at MCAS Yuma. Later I earned a Mathematics degree with an education emphasis from Boise State University and taught high school math for 31 years—nine at Notus and the rest at Borah High in Boise. After retiring, God led me home to Grangeville and to GCC.
I started trusting Jesus at the age of 8 at the Nazarene Church in McCall and was baptized in GCC’s baptistry while attending Evergreen Assembly of God. I have never stopped trusting Him! I served in leadership at Capital Christian Center, including seasons as a deacon/elder. At GCC I’m so grateful to teach Jr./Sr. High Sunday School and to help with our sound system (I’m an audio hobbyist). When my high school students asked if I’d miss teenagers after retirement, my answer was easy: teenagers are my favorite people!
Let’s meet up after service or over coffee; I’d love to meet you!
