Hi, I’m Mike Kunkel, and I’m blessed to serve as an elder at Grangeville Christian Church (GCC) in Grangeville, Idaho. I grew up in Lutheran churches in Minnesota and Wisconsin, spending my first four school years in a Lutheran school and completing catechism as a teen. I truly came to know Jesus in my early 20s when while attending Alliance Bible Church in Grangeville and was baptized in the South Fork of the Clearwater River.

 

My career has been in auto parts and industrial supply – from counter work and store management/ownership to 23 years with a large industrial supply company in Prudhoe Bay, Alaska. I’ve been married to my wonderful wife, Wendy, for 20 years in 2025 and together we have four children and eleven grandchildren.

 

I’ve taught Sunday School and proudly serve with Gideons International, handing out Scriptures on college campuses and sharing Christ in prisons so more people might be saved. In my spare time, you’ll find me hunting, fishing, camping and riding a four-wheeler/UTV, just enjoying the great outdoors God has given us!
